Eddie’s Hang-Up Display Charitable Donation Criteria

At Eddie’s Hang-Up Display Ltd., we believe in giving back to the communities that support us. To ensure our charitable initiatives make a meaningful impact, we use the following criteria when considering donation requests. Please read the requirements carefully before submitting your request using the form at the bottom of the page.

1. Alignment with Core Values

  • Preference for initiatives that support vulnerable communities, small businesses, arts & culture, or education.

  • Organizations that promote community well-being are prioritized.

2. Organization Eligibility

  • Must be a registered charity, non-profit, or recognized community organization.

  • Organizations must demonstrate transparency in how donations are used.

  • Political parties, individuals, or for-profit ventures are not eligible.

3. Community Impact

  • Programs that benefit local Canadian communities, especially in areas where Eddie’s customers and employees live and work.

  • Initiatives that have a clear, measurable impact on their community.

4. Type of Support

  • We provide donations in the form of products or discounts, depending on the need and alignment with our capabilities, up to a retail value of $250 CAD.

  • Requests for bulk product donations (e.g., display items, packaging) are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

5. Request Guidelines

  • The Allocations Committee meets quarterly. Donation applications must be submitted by March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31, with allocation decisions announced approximately two weeks later.

  • Each organization can be awarded only once per calendar year.

  • Applications should include:

    • Organization overview and charitable registration number (if applicable)

    • Description of the initiative/program

    • Details on how the donation will be used

    • Expected community impact and reach

    • donor recognition, if applicable 

6. Exclusions

  • Requests from individuals seeking personal assistance

  • Religious or political organizations (unless the support is directed toward a broadly accessible community service)

  • Organizations or events that conflict with Eddie’s Hang-Up Display Ltd.'s values


You will be contacted by a member of staff if your request has been approved. We receive many requests and regret that we are unable to accommodate every one, no matter how worthy.

  • WINGS: Women in Need Gaining Strength. Supports women and children escaping domestic violence through shelter, advocacy, and resources.
  • Plea Community Services: Provides youth and families with counseling, housing support, and prevention programs.
  • Hugabull Advocacy & Rescue: Rescues, rehabilitates, and advocates for bully-breed dogs.
  • PAL Vancouver: Connects children and youth with police-supported recreational and mentorship programs.
  • Kids with Cancer Society: Supports children with cancer and their families through financial and emotional assistance.
  • Sexual Assault Centre Edmonton: Offers crisis support, counseling, and education for survivors of sexual violence.
  • Wigs for Kids: Provides free wigs and hair alternatives to children experiencing medical hair loss.
  • Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre: Delivers hospital and healthcare services.
  • BC Children’s Hospital Foundation: Raises funds to support pediatric care, research, and specialized equipment.
