Canada Post Strike

Canada Post workers will be in a position to strike starting May 23rd. If a strike occurs, the vast majority of our customers will not be directly affected. Most orders are shipped via couriers other than Canada Post, such as Canpar, FedEx, and UPS for small package delivery.

We expect the following customers to be directly affected:

  • Those who need products shipped to the Yukon, Northwest Territories and/or Nunavut.
  • Those who need products shipped to rural towns.
  • Customers who pay for their orders via mailed cheque.

Unfortunately, we have no real remedy for those who need products shipped to remote locations. Those customers will be hit the hardest by this strike.

Please note that during previous labour disputes at Canada Post, our experience has been that there will also be some increased pressure placed on other carriers as some of the business from Canada Post is shifted to them.

For our customers who would like to pay by cheque, we advise that you please use an alternative payment method such as a credit card or e-transfer. You can contact orderdesk@eddies.com or call us toll-free at 1-877-433-3437 for more information.
